There are many choices of contraception widely available. However, no method is 100% reliable.

The effectiveness of some methods depends upon how you use them, for example, the oral contraceptive pill. Other methods, such as the Intra Uterine Contraceptive Device (coil) are not so user-dependent.

Our doctors are happy to discuss your contraception needs and preferences and to provide the relevant prescription, or, alternatively, IUCD’s, such as the Mirena Intrauterine System (a long acting hormone releasing device) or Copper Intrauterine devices, may be fitted under local anaesthetic in our consulting rooms.
